TV re-runs

When you favorite series comes on and it is a re-run that you've seen before, do you turn it off and find something else to do or watch?

I haven't have broadcast TV for almost two years and I have seen little of the acclaimed shows. Cable TV is providing me a way to catch up - but even they overdo it. Just my take!!

Depends what else is on... If it's a my-absolute-favorite-show-in-the-world series, like "West Wing," "Futurama," "Sports Night," or "Due South," then I'll probably watch it, even if it is a rerun. The nice thing about shows like that is that they bear up well under repeated viewings. You'll catch something the 2nd or 3rd time that you didn't the 1st.

Most other shows I'd try to see if something else is on. Sitcoms and others are kind of painful after the first time around.

It depends on the show. I'm watching reruns of 'Dr. Who' at the moment. :p They're taking me back...memories of me with a laundry basket on my head, running round the house, yelling "EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!", shooting everyone in sight... *sigh* The early twenties were great years...lol. Ok, so I was more like 6. :p

If I have to watch repeats, I'd rather they be shows I haven't seen for ages (like 'Dr. Who'). Although the 'Alias' reruns have been great, cause I didn't watch the first season, so I'm catching up. :D Unfortunately there's not much pick on free-to-air tv here (I don't have cable). As much as I love 'The Simpsons', I've had them up to the eyeballs. We get something like thirteen episodes a week, and only one of those is new. Over the summer it'll be 'Seinfeld' and 'The Nanny'...again. I've been reading a lot more lately instead of watching tv anyway, I guess I shouldn't complain lol.

There simply isn't enough, nor will there ever be, of Seinfeld!

Try Satellite! It's a beautiful thing!!
