If you know what I'm talking about then good. It is to my surprise that they are sponsored by a Christian Host company.

I thought they were kinda like RF ? No religious affiliation.

Hehehehe

I speak as a former member and Member of the Year. It is Christian owned as the owner frequently mentions in warning us to keep our place and the administration staff must hold specified Christian dogma. There is a toleration of agnostics and atheists but very little for Mormons, Muslims and Watchers. They (the Christians) frequently argue among themselves as to arcane points of faith and some forums are restricted to that purpose. They encourage uncivil discussion by creation of a forum for that purpose (the Locker Room). Ridicule is a byword in the other forums. Moderating is not consistent by design - lots of autonomy for the moderators.

We are NOTHING like TWEB

But I would like to see a return to the dedicated eduction purpose we had to re-enforce that difference.

I just realized that that's one of the things I love about RF. The moderation does not play favorites and is consistent across the board.

I'm glad it's not like Tweb. (Though I've never been to the place.)

I like that, Maize! We could use it as a in-forum term. "So that person who's being a bigot over in that thread is such a tweb!"

You know, I've never heard of Tweb, but I can say this. I have my hands full with this forum. I'd never get anything done if I joined another.

Besides, the Mods, Rex, and the people are just great. I like the atmosphere here :). This is a grand place.

I thought it was a ploy of Rex's to make sure we all had a look; it worked with me!

When I was young, I acted like a dweeb but I've put aside my dweeb/tweeb ways

Hehehe I guess that means they are not sponsored by a Christian Host company. Knowing cirisme as aTweb owner, I would say he knows who hosts them. He is also greatly responsible for many of the hacks modifying a basic vBullertin package
