A lot of it is aimed at making sure pre-adolescents don't see it, as the numbers of children watching porn has increased.How ridiculous. As if
A) Brits need to give corporations even more access to our data than they already have;
B) They need to protect teenagers from feeling sexual urges;
C) Teenagers won't find a way around this.
The next step might be to counter those VPN's. MP's might be concerned that children are using them to watch porn.If people use a VPN with their location set as another country how will this work?
British people use VPN's all the time to be able to access American news and other restricted sites.
Kids know all about these things.
They probably know more about porn sites and sex too.
I commend the UK for at least trying to put in a fail safe.
I support the concept of protecting children from porn. It remains to be seen whether it can be carried out in this manner. If a parent is concerned about such things, they should already have software installed on their home computers to block and monitor such things. If a parent is offloading the responsibility to others, I see a fault with the parent. There is still the issue of access through the myriad of computers the child may have access to other than at home, though. However, I fail to see how any company can successfully verify age of consent. Scanned in or mailed in documents tell you nothing about who scanned or mailed them in.In July the U.K. will implement tight restrictions on pornographic web site access based on age verification.

The mere sight of nipples and genitalia causes severe psychological trauma, because a talking snake ate some fruit, or something like that.I don't see what's so harmful about children seeing sex, but maybe that's just me.

Skimmed over it but didn't see a thing that mentioned the harm that porn does. Maybe I missed it.Here is what they have to say about it:
UK to introduce world first online safety laws
Obviously it causes terrorism and criminal gangs or didn't you read the paper?Skimmed over it but didn't see a thing that mentioned the harm that porn does. Maybe I missed it.
Got a link to such information?

Hehe. I love your naive optimism. I agree that parents should be monitoring their child on the the internet. I also know better than to assume that is always the case.Failsafes already exist. They're called parents.
Ahh yes. All those roving criminal gangs who were so traumatised by the natural human body that they joined gangs to compensate?And those evil terrorists who.....viewed porn as youngsters so they decided to join terrorist groups because??Obviously it causes terrorism and criminal gangs or didn't you read the paper?
