I think there is a risk if the backing is too overtly from the government. One does not want to hand Putin a free shot at accusing states of "warmongering" or "escalation", or even falsely claiming such people are secretly from the armed forces. In my view it has to be clear that this is strictly in a private capacity, at this point.

The only thing that has to happen, is putin has to back down. Or this has to end somehow. The longer this goes on, the more unstable everything probably may get. The more chance that bigger weapons, and broader tactics are employed

I for one find all of this shocking. Even so, I've been watching this since probably before november, with a similar feeling that I have now. How much longer, can you have a war around nuclear power plants? Or chuff up the ground near chernobyl, or fight around it? Do we know that those concerns being taken care of by the russians, or their now-prisoners? What exactly was with the skyline of ukraine the other night, flickering like a giant candle?

I agree,Putin has already accused Ukraine of using "a foreign legion",very risky and ammunition for him.

Yes it's very concerning,the people who monitor chernobyl said the radiation level in the area had gone up due to the ground disturbance,the worry now of course is this is taking much longer than Putin envisaged so will he now use more force like in georgia and be more indiscriminate.

I know that Ukrainians from Denmark have done it as well. However I do believe that it is mostly actual Ukrainians or what to say, meaning not so much people which might purely be connected to it so how, but rather Ukrainian workers and students that might study here etc. for a limited period of time. I personally don't see anything wrong with it as long as Denmark is not evolved directly. I know that some people were arrested and charged for travelling to help ISIS as that is in direct conflict with Danish soldiers and interests.

If a substantial amount of casualties from western volunteers it may make their parent nations obliged to go in,maybe it won't happen but it will enable Putin to do more imo.

They are Ukrainians, I don't even think Denmark have the authority to prevent them from doing it unless they have done something wrong, which they haven't and also they could simply say they wanted to go to Germany on vacation and then drive to Ukraine, we can't force or put them in house arrest or monitor them and neither should we. If Denmark, UK etc. stopped them, I think they would get in problems for violating their freedom rights to be honest.

I can understand that it might be the case, but again Putin doesn't decide what other countries should and shouldn't do. Were we to do what he wanted, he would just keep making demands.
