Both American wars with Iraq were extremely ugly, but the first one liberated Kuwait, and the second one overthrew Saddam Hussein!
I think most people agree Saddam Hussein was an evil man, but I am against America overthrowing him, and how many people died to do so, and worse regimes that rose to power as a result, but I suppose you can say, an evil man like that losing power , is a good thing in it of itself.
I'm just saying, even in something very ugly, there can be good things that result from something ugly. The Crucifixion of Christ was ugly, but Christians say it was a great , good thing , that redeemed humankind!
What is happening in Ukraine is terrible! The biggest plane in the world was destroyed, Ukraine is one of the main places wheat comes from, if the war prevents people from planting wheat in the very soon planting season, that sucks for so many people!
People are dying, people getting injured, people talking about weapons of mass destruction, world war 3.
Anything positive going to come from it?
I live in the Twin Cities, where George Floyd was murdered by police!
The city was being looted and burned.
What I can say is, I volunteered to board up windows to stop stores from getting looted, I met cool interesting people, I saw lots of charity, altruism, heroism, people coming together!
That side of it was actually positive!
Maybe the conflict with Ukraine does have that effect on some people?
