Faith involves something future that has not taken place yet, but where there is still room to believe that the said thing will take place. There is benefit to faith because those who embrace it, reap greater rewards after the said faith comes to pass, compared to those who wait to involve themselves only after they have seen it come to pass first.
In other words, people of faith get a head start by preparing and adjusting themselves accordingly for that end goal of what the faith promises.
What is true too tho is that someone’s faith can fail. Yes, the thing in which someone puts their hope in may never actually come to pass.
And so really, faith is like placing a bet on a certain something to come to pass, but not exactly a gamble when one informs themselves of that bet and why it can be trusted.
Having said all that, the Bible continually points to a new government to come that will encompass the whole world, and which can be inherited by people. A quick example of this prediction is here:
“Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him” (Daniel 7:27).
According to the Scriptures, Jesus Christ makes this inheritance possible to everyone who believes. How? Because whoever believes, will prepare themselves for that inheritance of the kingdom. And since it is a kingdom that will stand forever, the heirs too are to be forever. The Bible shows that immortality is within reach of us all. The question then is: who will actually believe this? Remember: the ones who believe it (which means believing before it has come to pass) will attain it & reap greatly when it actually does comes to pass, compared to those who don’t. But of course, I must also say that “if the dead do not rise, ‘Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!’” (1 Corinthians 15:32).
Place your bets then, and may the winning side rejoice together in the placed faith that comes to pass.
