Unique solution to speeding ticket

I have no clue when this actually happened since the DJ is on vacation and this radio show is a rerun, but....

A local man was ticketed for doing 70 in a 45 mph zone. His solution.....steal a 70 mph speed limit sign from another location and put it in this location. Then try and convince the judge that it was there on the day he was ticketed.

Wouldn't it just have been easier to do the speed limit? :bonk:

Hey...that's good...to bad there are a set standard of rules as to what type of roads have what speed limit. It isn't a randam choice...at least anywhere outside Montreal and Edmonton.

Were I live 45 zones are residential/commerce areas. More densly populated residential zones are 35.

We have a set of standard speeds for the type of road as well, but sometimes the posted speed is higher or lower, depending on access, etc.
