A few years ago I was using a graphics program which simulates real universe and let's you navigate it allowing you to
see relative distances between the stars and planets including simulation of planet rotation and movements.
Program is called "openspace" which is an open source initiative funded by NASA and few other institutions.
It's completely free for use and right now I'm downloading it yet again to fly trough universe.
However download size is 4GB

Using it is not user friendly but there seem to be some introductory tutorial videos:
