It's amazing just how good a rope belt is.

After a few leather belts fell apart in hard farm labor, I had no belts left.

... but I had rope. I look like a total hillbilly but gaddam I still have the same rope belt....

I only partially agree. I think it's a little weird for some groups to have a hold on or control of certain forms of speech, than others.

But I get it's practicality.

option to embrace epithets as your own.
And after all, ***** isn't as taboo as ***** or ****.

We honkies, rednecks, hillbillies, crackers, & polar
bears aren't a minority, so our epithets are generally
considered acceptable.
I like the freedom associated with having no culture,
no racial identity, no history of subjugation, & no
hardship to have overcome. Essentially, I'm a nobody,
other than who I am as an individual.
