Still in the game!
Attended my third week of services. This week there was a guest speaker, who is was a United Methodist minister, talking about the concept of Universalism. I thought it was pretty interesting considering my own issues/questions about the idea of "hell" and "salvation" (which I posted about in the Comparative Religion forum).
I signed up for the Social Action Committee, and attended a meeting about homelessness in Baltimore. Interesting meeting, especially considering there was a bit of disagreement as to what we should/could do.
I also talked to the minister about the steps to become a voting member on the congregation. That process is probably a few months out though, since I can't sign up for the required classes because of my schedule.
I think it's also safe to say I've made a friend in the church, a woman named Rosemary who helped walk me through the first week of services, and has checked on me and talked to me in the following weeks as well.
