UUs support free health clinic plan
The UU Society of Oneonta, N.Y., is spearheading a project that could open a free health clinic in their community. Nearly 15 percent of the population of the surrounding Delaware and Otsego counties doesnt have health insurance, and community members have been meeting for a year to figure out how to get free health care to those who can't afford it. They recently met with a representative from the Volunteers in Medicine Institute about other communities who have started free clinics. (Oneonta Daily Star - Oneonta, NY 9.1.06)
