Lol. Ok. Well you misunderstood the article. Enough said.
LOL! I guess that you misunderstood the article and are now trying to cover it up.

Actually that appears to be the more likely assumption. I will trust that you understood it, your should do at least the same for me.

Yes you clearly understood it. Everyone else did without question or follow ups lol

If you read the article it is limited to veterans and their immediate families. Hmm, I might be wrong. I need some clarification:

"Under a new interim final rule, pregnant veterans and VA beneficiaries will be able to get abortions if their life or health would be in danger if the pregnancy went to term. Patients whose pregnancies were the result of rape or incest will also be eligible for abortions."

After reading that again it does appear to be limited to veterans and their beneficiaries.

EDIT: I followed the link in the quote and it does just apply to veterans and their beneficiaries. The run of the mill citizen is still SOL.

You are wasting space on this thread and wasting my time. Goodnight bud.

I wonder how this will square with the Hyde amendment. I wager there will be more litigation. Also this is rife for elimination by Congress or a post-Biden Administration. While it is in place the number of those covered will be very small.
The GOP are realising that overturning Roe v Wade was a massive mistake.
All their candidates are winding back their line on it, they have lost a lot of the female vote and motivated others to turn out.

True which sadly means that this is not much of a solution. It is still better than nothing and does give comfort and peace of mind to those in the military and their families. I worry about all the people that are at least temporarily shut out of these services.

I am still hoping for big things come November.
It may not seem like much, but the VA is doing probably all it can by offering abortion services to veterans and their dependents.
It's also another issue to highlight the wedge of how inconsistent american laws really are and how one group or another gets to contradict another. It's working out for the better this time, but other places, like Michigan where Republicans shot down an abortion ballot initiative because of spacing/grammar errors in the bill (though Kansas voting to cement abortion rights is probably the real reason).
