I'm going to go get my first and only jab soon :)
How many of you already have it? How is it? I read people die for it so faking smile I'll go, I want to visit my friends again and have fun everyday again

I got both doses of Pfizer, but still play it safe. I will gather in small groups with people I care about, but crowded events, restaurants, and other outings that involve being in closed spaces with strangers are done for me indefinitely. I don't really believe this is just going to be 'over' or that things will go back to 'normal'. Life has forever changed, and the repercussions of this will be obvious for years, in my humble opinion.

The vaccines are an excellent way to put a good dent in this, and work towards lowering numbers and severity of symptoms.

Go for it, there is more chance of dying from the virus than the vaccine

I had 2 shots of moderna 6 months ago and had the booster (pfizer) last Tuesday.

No problems at all with the booster, the first 2 made my upper arm a bit tender and felt like it had been (lightly) thumped for a couple of days.

I still wear a mask when out, and try to avoid crowds. Thing is both hubby and i know that the virus could kill us both and I'd rather stick around at least until the kids fledge the nest

I don't have it, possibly won't get it as it's been a while (meaning I haven't gotten it the whole pandemic). I consider myself as just observing the world on this matter. I wear the mask (sometimes) and avoid crowds, take my D3 and have so far avoided the virus, not much else.

Edit: changed vote to I won't, I don't plan on it ever.

My honest experience with both Pfizer shots resulted in only having a sore arm and a disorienting feeling for a couple of days. Like I had ran to the point of being exhausted. Lost a day of work.

It returned to normal afterwards.

I've had the two shot primary vaccination, and had no side effects.

My wife had a little arm achiness and was sleepy for a few days.

Thank you for choosing to get vaccinated yourself.

Nope, don't have it, not going to unless absolutely pushed to the wall. I'm not opposed to, or will discourage, anyone else getting it, just not me. My husband asked if I thought he should. I said it's his decision, I won't tell him yes or no. He did get it, and I said that was never a problem.

I got the 2 Pfizer and the booster. I had mild side-effects that passed after a day. My wife had 3 Moderna and had a similar experience.

I will always defend people's right to choice. It's your body, not theirs.

That's my point. I have no problem with someone getting vaccinated if they think it's in their best interest, for whatever reason. I'm neither pro- nor anti-vax. But I can't tell you how many times I've seen people, including myself, brow-beaten and called names like inconsiderate, selfish, moron, *******, ignorant, moron (that was a couple of times and my personal favorite :D), irresponsible, someone hoped I died from it (now there's a considerate person, an example we should all follow :D), told it's my obligation to protect others (yeah, no... it's not) on social media because I am exercising my right to choose.

It's why I make a stand with their little health cult.

Most people have the brains to know one way or other aside from exterior walnut brains acting bigoted and fanatical like proper little health Nazis.

It's like any other vaccine jab. Your arm's a little sore the next day, and that's it.

I don't see the controversy. It's not a drug or chemical. It won't affect your body chemistry or physiology. It's just an immune app; a bit of new code, like the new code your B and T lymphocytes generate whenever they encounter a new antigen -- ie: every day.

I think its because there are a fair number of people experiencing far worse effects than others.

I had an unusual thing that happened to me sometime after the first dose of Moderna. I don’t plan to get the second as I don’t want the same thing to happen again. I don’t know if mixing the vaccines is safe or not.
