Don't start that. Do you want a fratricidal war? War among brothers? Want Hinduism to break up? We have been through it. We can do without it.

Do you happen to have English translations for some of these texts? I'm really curious to know if you have a translation of the Divya Prabandham and works of other Shri Vaishnavas.

I do not think that this thread is supposed to be confrontational. Not every thread that has "Vaishnava" in it is going to start a debate, unless of course some non-Vaishnava breaks into the conversation and starts "refuting" Vaishnava claims. :)

One can spend a lifetime studying these works! Its amazing actually. Personally, I have very little taste in reading Sruti or even Smrti by itself. But when I read the commentaries of Vaishnav acharyas and their works, IDK I feel like everything fits together like a perfect puzzle. The meanings drawn in their commentaries are like the moon which cause the ocean of bhakti to swell up. Its like the Vaishnav Acharyas are saying "Here, I am churning this massive ocean of scripture and giving you the butter, the essence". My Guru Maharaj used to say, "Bhakti is seeing with the ears". We many not be able to see Sri Krsna with our mundane eyes, but by reading the works of the Vaishnav Acharyas, and especially hearing the pastimes of the Lord from the Suddha Vaishnav, the divine sound vibration enters our ears and purifies us. It causes awakening of Sraddha (Divine Faith) which in turn leads to the awakening of Bhakti and hence the attainment of the highest goal (Sri Vaikuntha Dham).Normally this Faith is impossible to awaken and takes many many lifetimes to develop, but by the mercy of a Vaishnav it awakens easily. Do you guys want to hear my Guru Maharaj's favourite verse of Bhagavatam? It is spoken by Sutadeva Goswami himself in the beginning:

śṛṇvatāṁ sva-kathāḥ kṛṣṇaḥ
puṇya-śravaṇa-kīrtanaḥ
hṛdy antaḥ stho hy abhadrāṇi
vidhunoti suhṛt satām

Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the Personality of Godhead, who is the Paramātmā and the benefactor of the truthful devotee, cleanses desire for material enjoyment from the heart of the devotee who has developed the urge to hear His messages, which are in themselves virtuous when properly heard and chanted.

Hearing, sravana, this is the beginning of all Bhakti, and reading the commentaries of the great Vaishnavs is part of that. I thank you for sharing these wonderful books and commentaries with us :praying::praying::praying::praying: Some of these books (like Sri Krsna Karnamrta by Srila BIlvamangala Thakur) I have read, and they are astonishing . Jaya Nitai!

How is one who has 'dambha', a Vaishnava?

You don't really need to add more names. We know that if it is a Vaishnava book, then it will sing the praises of Vishnu and the avataras.

Its ok @Aupmanyav cool it. This post is not meant for any insinuations of any kind, either Shaktas/Shaivas. I love them equally. The intention was to glorify our acharyas (and have a reference of our text, so that we could quickly take up one and read and benefit) who gave these beautiful gems for us future generations so that we get uplifted.. We cannot read/study vedam but these texts are nectar of vedam simplified and more.

Kindly do that. I am all with you. They are my Acharyas too, they are Hindu Acharyas. My homage to all of them. :praying:

That is fine, whenever you get the time. :) I am well aware of the time right now in India.
