Vampires and HIV/AIDS

There are a couple threads, HERE and HERE, that discuss the fact that those who admit to engaging in homosexual sex are prohibited from donating blood because of a fear that we all have AIDS.

Do you think that this may be what is reducing the world's supply of vampires? I mean, should they stick strictly to heterosexual males and females? Or, are they immune to such diseases?

What are your thoughts on the risk of Vampires getting infected with a bloodborne illness such as HIV/AIDS?

Modern day Sanguine are not supernatural so no there are not immune. In truth I think it's stupid ad quite Homophobic to think that about gays. There is just has much a chance that some could get the disease from a straight person.

I think it's homophobic as well, but of course they don't see it as such. They're towing the ole party line, pushing the Republicans and Democrats' nonsense, and not even realizing it's anti-gay.

I know plenty of Gay Vampires. Ad now of them have this problem. Also thing is many, many Sanguine and there donor go and get tested for such things. They are also usually in a vary personal relationship.

Can you get HIV/AIDS from just drinking blood when it doesn't mix into your own blood? AND should vampires even care if they have HIV/AIDS? Isn't the only way to kill a vampire by stabbing it in the heart with a wooden stake? HIV and AIDS will do nothing to stop the vampires. They cannot be stopped! So just because you've got AIDS doesn't mean vampires still won't track you down and get you...

I've only every taste my ow blood(when it comes to human blood).

Whose blood was it? I think that's gross, just because I think people are gross, and I don't want to consume them. I've tasted my own blood lots of times though, back when I lost my teeth, or when the dentist gets in there... And that time I cut under my tongue with a pool toy... It tastes metallic... I don't know why you'd want to drink it...

He got me to taste his blood note card and I let him taste mine. I think he was bi, and he said vampires don't mind the same gender's blood anyway if both parties are willing.

Ewwww. I'd never want to drink blood. Not human or any other kind. My own isn't so bad, since it's already all over the place inside me, but I'd never ever want to even touch blood that's not my own.

It was an experiment. I don't think I'll ever do it again. I think drinking one another's blood is powerful blood magic though, because I feel like he and I are still bonded. It's hard to explain. I don't think we can ever be seperated.

What about with animals? Are you bonded with the animals who you eat? (Unless you're a vegetarian)

That's hard to say notecard. I've never eaten meat rare. I would say we're all bonded in a way by life, even without consuming one another.
