Various religious views on evolution

Mankind is ruining the atmosphere and the earth because of its selfishness. Now if you think that is evolution, so be it. I call it selfishness and greed. Oh, yes, I'm linking this to "science," such as gasoline fuels and lots of hamburgers.

I never said this was evolution. Why do you think that has anything to do with evolution?

Faith-confidence in what we hope for (Hebrews 11)
Why should that be a measure of anything?

It is become more and more clear that you have no idea what evolution is.
lol, it's like someone on the forum was speaking about the billions given for political campaigns that could have been spent to better mankind.
Do gorillas and chimpanzees have need for finances to get one of them elected?

This has nothing to do with evolution.

No one who has any idea what evolution would think this has anything to do with evolution.

I believe what the Bible says about creation. God created living beings. What about your faith, what does it say if it has a position on this? ANYTHING?
I don't know, personally. Perhaps my faith or some faith leaders have a position. Since we're pretty scientific, I'm guessing we agree with evolution. But like I said, how we got to this point is largely irrelevant to me personally. Living right is what counts. How does believing in biblical creation story help you be kinder to others?

Everyone has a take on his religion I suppose. Although I surely don't even imagine with any type of fidelity that souls migrate to animals depending on how the person lived, I also do not believe religions that teach the unsaved will burn in torment (hellfire as known by some) forever. It's also dependant on belief and faith.

What about them? you think that's all there is to evolution? If so, you are once again demonstrating your near total ignorance of what evolution is.
Yeah so gorillas don't write music, don't wear clothes, but there's that somehow supposition that the miniscule difference of genes between gorillas and humans is covered somewhere by (as yet undiscovered) evolution. Right?

What in the world are you waffling on about? You have no idea what evolution is.

Not correct. Evolution of monkeys, apes and humans from a common ancestors is a well-established fact. No God created Adam from wet soil.

Drumming like humans whilst producing music is practically unheard of in our most closely related species, the great apes. Although beating on tree roots and body parts does occur in these species, it has, musically speaking, little in common with human drumming."

Although, birds, whales and dolphins might know about music.

Beluga whales have very specialised sense of hearing and a highly developed auditory cortex (and clearly good taste). Music and the natural world coming together - it's a beautiful thing.
These whales responded to a cello being played, and it's incredibly beautiful - Classic FM

The experiment revealed that dolphins are attracted to high-pitched frequencies of several musical instruments including the flute, piccolo, the Indian wooden recorder, and a high-pitch singing voice.
Dolphins respond to flute-playing, proving live music could improve aquatic... - Classic FM

DeVoogd, a professor of psychology at Cornell University, who has long studied both human and bird brains, particularly how the brains of birds encode learned behaviors like song. He said he was aware of a good study from 2012 that suggested that bird brains respond to song in the same areas that human brains do.

So in other words, those missing genes between gorillas and humans somehow got lost in the record? (Yeah, I guess that's what you think...lol...it's ok...)

The same 'fact' says that gorillas do not have written music, right? No...those genes are missing somewhere between the types of apes...lol...somehow. You people are something...thank you really for all your pushing and (lack of) reasoning. lol...it's ok, thanks again. You've shown me a lot, all of you. I really appreciate it. thanks and bye bye.

Different species have different capabilities. There are things that apes and chimps can do but we cannot. Nothing surprising there.

maybe he figures evolution shows why humans alone write music down?

What's the matter, they can't write their songs down? Oh, but their brains didn't "evolve" that way...:) And for birds, they don't need to put winter coats on -- or shoes -- unless you can try to show maybe they do, I suppose. :) Hey have a good one!
