Vatican Blasts Trans Surgery, Surogacy, Etc

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I'll bet that the Catholic Church is top dog at
the practice of shuttling pedo priests from
parish to parish. So it's not just that some
priests are pedophiles & ephebophiles, it's
the Church enables them to be serial offenders.
This is such old news that it's almost, but not quite funny.

Why? Even the movie is old.
The Church's crimes go a long way back.
And it continues.

In your first article, correct me if I am wrong, but the exemption is only for fault during CONFESSION.

Your second article is many years old

It's current news.

"A report in February 2023 by a Church-funded Portuguese commission found that at least 4,815 minors had been sexually abused by clergy - mostly priests - over seven decades.

The report's authors said their findings were the "tip of the iceberg", and commission head Pedro Strecht added that more than 100 priests suspected of child sexual abuse remained active in Church roles.
The following month, the Church announced a handful of steps to tackle child sexual abuse, but it was heavily criticised for not adopting tougher measures."

"NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Authorities have expanded an investigation of clergy sexual abuse in the Roman Catholic Church in New Orleans to include senior church officials suspected of shielding predatory priests for decades and failing to report their crimes to law enforcement.

Louisiana State Police carried out a sweeping search warrant last week at the Archdiocese of New Orleans, seeking a long-secreted cache of church records and communications between local church leaders and the Vatican about the church’s handling of clergy sexual abuse.

The search signaled a new phase of the investigation that will seek to determine what particular church leaders, including Archbishop Gregory Aymond and his predecessors, knew about claims that the warrant describes as “ignored and in many cases covered up.”

"Nearly 1,700 priests and other clergy members that the Roman Catholic Church considers credibly accused of child sexual abuse are living under the radar with little to no oversight from religious authorities or law enforcement, decades after the first wave of the church abuse scandal roiled U.S. dioceses, an Associated Press investigation has found.

These priests, deacons, monks and lay people now teach middle-school math. They counsel survivors of sexual assault. They work as nurses and volunteer at nonprofits aimed at helping at-risk kids. They live next to playgrounds and daycare centers. They foster and care for children.

And in their time since leaving the church, dozens have committed crimes, including sexual assault and possessing child pornography, the AP’s analysis found."

Why? Even the movie is old. Oh well, there are plenty of good, old movies. I'll add it to my list.
It's not that old. It's from 2015. Gee.
Why would you watch it? I don't know. For entertainment. To learn something about something that is going on in the world.
