Voice for Radio

Which I guess is better then a "face for radio".

Many times over the last 15 years or so of my life, I have oft been told I have a "voice for Radio", I've always found it an odd compliment, but I've accepted it nonetheless.

I just had it happen twice in 3 days this week. Maybe I should have been a voice actor, or DJ.

Have you ever gotten any consistent compliments that you found entertaining, or at the very least as accurate?

You're tall for a woman. Drives me crazy.

A woman in halting frenchlish asked me the way to Gourdon. I gave her directions in English.
Her reaction, "you speak very good English". I waited until she'd gone before i burst out laughing.

It's better than "voice of a phone sex operator". :sob:

I tried to look on the bright side. I could have sold a lot of insurance over the phone.

Obviously you are very easy to understand when you speak. It is something that lots of us like and appreciate in a person.

A lot of people say dumb things.

I was often told I'd be a rock star.

If you were a rock star now, what would be your genre(s) of rock?

Someone recently told me that I have
a voice for radio. That was a surprise.
I dislike my voice.

This reminds me that one of my fellow foreign teachers doesn’t like her voice yet she sounds really good to others.
