Why would you need to post images?

I find that quite rude personally. I think you are trying to send a message across by the fact that there are no images of Muhammed peace be upon him.

I find the image of Jesus peace be upon him quite offensive too.

Guys...take it easy...Religion is not that serious stuff. That kinda defeats the purpose of a religion, no?

That is why I asked the mods to move this to some less "serious" subforum, if needed.

But Christians have been making images of Jesus long before Islam existed, is it not more offensive that you come and tell us what to do?

Why Elvis Presley and not someone like Martin Luther King ?
Why Jesus, Mohammad and not Moses ?

Your poll could have been better

Mohammed:

And i'm ok with eslam, not need to put images. Jesus maybe was tanned with brown eyes, remember he was from middle east

I didn't come and tell you nothing, I find the pictures to be inappropriate in the thread and quite rude.

What's wrong with just mentioning the names?

And it's through the pictures and statues that Christianity is becoming pagan/polytheistic in nature. How can you believe that Jesus peace be upon him looked like that, when you nor I never saw him?

Out of this list, Kṛṣṇa.

Out of a bigger list, Śiva or Durgā. Probably Durgā.
Or maybe Óðinn.

Touch choices.

Actually, Vāhigurū.

I did not vote, however of the philosophies of those on the list, Buddha's appeal to me the most, though to be honest, I know far less of Krishna than the others. As for the theologies... none really appeal to me.

If I have to get more specific, I'd go with Gaea (as in the planet I live on), Sun Spirit, and Moon Spirit. Let's throw Storm Spirit, Plant Spirit, and Animal Spirit on there too. Hephaestus for being a super hot and geeky engineer, Ares for being a super hot bad boy, Athena and Artemis for being just plain awesome all around. On modern cultural mythology... there's a crap ton to name, but Elvis is definitely not on my list.

1. Krishna: taught a full guide to live in a way to attain God. Not to mention His mischievous and playful personality. He was/is the ultimate prankster and practical joker, but never in a mean way.

2. Jesus: supplemented what Krishna taught, but you have to dig deep.

3. Buddha: supplemented Krishna wrt (de-)attachment, among many other things.

4. Shiva and Parvati; and Parvati in Her forms as Durga and Kali. Some of their stories are uproariously funny. Yes, even as gods.

Nothing, but what's wrong with putting pictures? And there was no picture of Mohammad so it shouldn't offend you, I don't think.

Yet by including pictures it does indeed serve to highlight the lack of picture, the difference in treatment if you will serves to isolate where that is unnecessary.

I'd have to go with buddha, I mean if Jesus existed he at least tried getting a peaceful message across... I only wish I could say the same for his followers...

In all seriousness, apart from Elvis, I'd say I'd vote Buddha or Jesus as well.
