Last I remember, it depends on what part of the state you are in. I was from the southwest part of Washington and it was about 7.8%.

I noticed your profile says you're from Oregon. Most places in Washington will take the sales tax off if you show them an Oregon driver's license. A lot of stores even ask you if you are from Oregon before they ring up your purchases.

Yeah, I'm from Oregon, but I'm moving up to WA in about a week. I bought a quad and had it shipped to my college, since I'll be there when it comes (projected shipping time is 2-3 weeks). The shipping thing adds sales tax based on where you are shipping it to.
