Was Interstellar a Christian film?

For all those who have watched Interstellar, read on. For all those who haven't, I highly suggest you do. Warning:

*Spoilers ahead*

The themes of love give it a very strong Christian feel to the film. 'They' seem almost divine. When Cooper returns back as promised, especially at the moment of Murph's death, it seems to almost suggest that Jesus will come back when the human race is close to dying, as promised. The whole concept of time and space being meaningless in the tesseract, yet acting through the power of love is another strong Christian theme.

To me, it seemed anything but Christian. For example, I wasn't expecting "They" to be advanced humans. I expected "They" to be described as angels or God's messengers or something like that. The whole idea that humans and science alone will save us when Earth collapses doesn't seem like a very religious idea to me.

Christian didn't come to my mind at all when watching the film. Lots of films like to make use of the whole "love" theme, there was never a sense of a higher being though, the solutions were all achieved by human beings.

Just saw Interstellar again with my wife. One my favorite movie as of late.

The love theme I find most abstract in the movie even when compared to Cooper surviving the black hole and humans transcending 4 dimensions. Even then I don't see a religious theme, but then I'm probably the last person to know.

I hope make they make a second film.
