God inspired them with true teachings of Christ revelation. What else did God inspire them to have faith with, if the Faith was not with regards to Revelation of Jesus? No it doesn't. It only means they have faith and God inspired the faith in them.
God inspired them with true teachings of Christ revelation. What else did God inspire them to have faith with, if the Faith was not with regards to Revelation of Jesus?
Then Bible is not the revelation of jesus.God inspired them with true teachings of Christ revelation. What else did God inspire them to have faith with, if the Faith was not with regards to Revelation of Jesus?
But you really did not answer the question i asked. Then Bible is not the revelation of jesus.
Because it logically makes sense to me.How do you know it is 'true'?
It doesn't say anything about knowledge. But you really did not answer the question i asked.
God says He inspired them to have faith. He inspired them with a knowledge to have faith. To have faith in what? Faith in God and His Messenger. So, they may submit to God (Moslem). How can a person submit to God?
Only if they know the commandments of God. What knowledge? Obviously knowledge of the of revelation of Christ. What does Revelation of Christ called? Gospel!
What is it supposed to change? Personal responsibility remains.
It does not have to say in one verse every single word.It doesn't say anything about knowledge.
Well it doesn't make any logical sense to me, which is why I lost my faith when I was old enough to question it.Because it logically makes sense to me.
What is it that does not make sense to you?Well it doesn't make any logical sense to me, which is why I lost my faith when I was old enough to question it.
That's what you say. Other than the fact that there's a dead animal, there's nothing that indicates that this was a sacrifice. And a dead animal does not a sacrifice make.So . . . if someone was found murdered outside of some town in ancient Israel and no one knew who was responsible then the nearest town was "blood guilty." They had to take a bull and sacrifice it, spilling it's blood in payment for the innocent man's blood that was spilled.
You're conflating the Paschal lamb of the first Passover kept in Egypt, with sin and fault offerings:In the Old Testament the forgiveness was through the blood of the lamb.
This perfect, unblemished male lamb was taken into the household for
three or four days (till people bonded with it)
Then it was slain and its blood daubed upon the lintel. This was to
signify that the 'death angel' was to pass over it.
And the lamb was to be eaten whole - not just the goodly portions.
So Christians believe it took some 3,000 years for G-d to finally get it?Its shows that God gets it that we cannot be perfect and that guilt should not get in the way of sincere effort.
Are you trying to say that Christians don't sin?Yes, personal responsibilities remains. We all have the freedom to act responsibly toward God.
By Adam breaking God's law, thus Adam unbalanced the Scale of Justice for us.
Since we can't stop sinning because of inherited imperfection from father Adam we can't redeem anyone.
If we could stop sinning we would Not die, and because we can't stop is why we die.
Thus, we need someone without sin to re-balance the Scale of Justice for us.
This is why a sinless Jesus could ransom us out of sin and death.
So to speak, Adam put us in the Pawn Shop of Death, so we need someone from the outside who can pay over the asking price for our release from sin and death. Jesus is kind of like that ready cash to pay off the debt for us.
No it don't.In reality?
Well the Old Testament stated that after the death of the Messiah there
would be an end to Israel.
Hundreds of years later. And after His death the Gentile world forsook paganism.
Sounds like you could just skip out the Jesus part and just...accept the repentance, eh?it offers us forgiveness if we repent and not just for us but for all who came before. They could not be forgiven if Jesus did not come.
Based on what your saying, Jesus can't actually help for "great sins like murder for example"Their animal sacrifices only looked forward to Jesus who is the real sacrifice. And there were no animal sacrifices for great sins like murder for example.
No it don't.In The 51st Psalm David in a moment of Divine inspiration says that God doesn't want (animal)sacrifices but a broken and contrite heart. This proves that the sacrifices were of no use to forgive his great sin(adultery and murder).
The sin offering does work for adultery. For murder, exile works. This proves that the sacrifices were of no use to forgive his great sin(adultery and murder).
Your non sequitur aside, what does Christianity teach you about making strawmen for other religions? The Jews to this day cannot really explain why God wanted animal sacrifice for small sins, but just forgave great sins without sacrifice. It's because God forgave them looking forward to Jesus Christ the real sacrifice.
In Hinduism people take dip in the Ganga river to free themselves of past sins. It gives them a second chance to reform. And so with Jesus who saves souls. What is it supposed to change? Personal responsibility remains.
Then Bible is not the revelation of jesus.
So? It doesn't say "the Bible".Perhaps not, but this is what it says..
Revelation 1:1
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:”
