Let's also outlaw shortening yellow light duration
in the interest of levying more fines. And speed
limits that are lower than reasonable...also done
for government revenue. And charging people
money for being jailed.

Yes. There could be a standard formula for deciding on the length of yellow lights and minimal deceleration zones.

Or you could just be a responsible driver.
You're approaching an intersection with a green light.
You're driving the speed limit.
It turns yellow.
Do you brake or drive thru?
This is a decision that poses problems....
- Brake fast, & that tailgating driver behind might hit you,
causing an accident that pushes you into the intersection.
- Drive thru, & some jack rabbit on the other road might
broadside you.

Laws That Are 'Impossible' to Follow Can Still Be Constitutional, Says California Court
I've run across legally impossible to follow laws in real estate,
eg, zoning laws vs Fair Housing Laws.

When a green light turns yellow, no matter what you do,
a cop could see it as a violation. This is useful when cops
follow someone they want to hassle....no one can obey
the massive myriad of laws & good driving practices with
100% compliance.

Traffic Violations You May Not Even Know You Are Committing
Excerpted....
The expansive scope of this authority is well-recognized. Some have argued that the “heavy and minute[]” regulation of vehicles renders “total compliance with traffic and safety rules nearly impossible.” Whren, 517 U.S. at 810 (citing petitioner’s argument to this effect). Thus, they say, “a police officer will almost invariably be able to catch any given motorist in a technical violation.” Id.
