Muffled
Jesus in me
Huh? What are you talking about?
...and what does this have to do with the rapture?
I believe the Rapture is to eternal life. Paul says "we shall all be changed" ! Cor. 15.

Huh? What are you talking about?

only in that it might offer some protection from the Lake of Fire...
.I believe Mat 22 has a parable relating to the Rapture.
Mat 22:9 Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.’ 10 And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the wedding hall was filled with guests 11 “But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment. 12 And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
So if Muslims and people of other persuasions are gathered will they have a wedding garment?
In Revelations it says they are robed in white cleansed by the blood of the lamb. Is that enough or does God require a person to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior?
I believe God wants those who are totally committed to being without sin and that means receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior.
What are we to be salved from, though? Isn't the danger imaginary; based on legends, fantasy and folklore?I believe most people are well over that by now. Salvation is so easy; just give control of your life to God.
And that's more important to you than taking a moral stand. Got it.I believe I don't have to endorse anything but I definitely know where my bread is buttered.
We have to be saved from what God will do to us if we don't give control of our lives to him, apparently. What are we to be salved from, though? Isn't the danger imaginary; based on legends, fantasy and folklore?
.It deals with an allegorical tale. A metaphor. A parable.
God wants invites his followers to celebrate His own Son (Jesus) but people will not care about him, thinking that they are eternal and they will never die.
When they are dead, those who are unworthy of the Kingdom of God (without wedding garment) will be sent to Hell.
Are you a Protestant, if you don't mind me asking?.
Hello Estro Felino... Jesus destroyed death from the cross and restored life at the Resurrection! Death is no more, all will live forever the question is where, live forever in heaven or forever with Satan in Gehenna! Those in Gehenna will hate Jesus because it will be his fault, that they cannot die to end their suffering!
Estro Felino The wedding garment IS Jesus!
1 Corinthians 15:21–22: “For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.”
.
We have to be born again to become joined to God, to be added to Jesus is to be in Christ, to become a member of the body of Christ, and then to be saved. We are born of Adam’s body into condemnation. We are born of Christ’s body unto salvation.
.
Galatians 3:27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
Nope I do not mind... I am a Dogan... (Catholic)Are you a Protestant, if you don't mind me asking?

The idea of Rapture is not scriptural; It comes to us in the late 19th century! It’s not just the living who are caught up with the Lord, but also the dead in Christ: “And the dead in Christ will rise first”. Paul speaking of the resurrection of the dead tells us that he’s referring to the end of time.

.I believe you are inconsistent saying the Rapture is recent then talking about it being in the Bible.
.
Muffled I was pointing out in the post above #31.... Jesus comes one time, and it is at the end of the world! Those who want to belie3ve the "Rapture" think Jesus will come back two (2) times at the end of the world!
Christians will NOT miss the tribulation as Protestants want to believe in the rapture! This teaching of Rapture comes from Protestants in...

1800s, some began to claim that the rapture would occur before the period of persecution. This position, now known as the “pre-tribulational” view, also was embraced by John Nelson Darby, an early leader of a Fundamentalist movement that became known as Dispensationalism. Darby’s pre-tribulational view of the rapture was then picked up by a man named C. I. Scofield, who taught the view in the footnotes of his Scofield Reference Bible. Many Protestants who read the Scofield Reference Bible uncritically adopted the pre-tribulational view, even though no Christian had heard of it in the previous 1800 years of Church history.
There is no such Christian belief as the rapture, it is an invention of the 19th century! John Nelson Darby started this belief no Christian had heard of it in the previous 1800 years of Church history.
Muffled The scriptures tell us Jesus will come next a second time as Judge, he is not coming back twice more!
.I believe you can make statements all day long but I don't believe you can prove them but I can show the logic of my statements.
First I believe Biblical truth is not based on what people believe it is. The fact that people ignored the truth of the Rapture for centuries does not prove that the Rapture does not exist.
Second I believe we have the proof in Mat 24, I Thes. 4 & Rev 14.
How powerful do you think humans are - or how weak do you think your god is - if you think that humans can compel God's actions?I believe some people will leave Him with no choice.
They have to be out of the picture despite - according to the parable - being expressly invited into the picture at God's command? They are not willing to accept the offer so they have to be out of the picture with no opportunity to return to spoil things.
I hope all is well....I believe you can make statements all day long but I don't believe you can prove them but I can show the logic of my statements.
