So, I decided to start a picture thread on my town. It'll be a continuting feature, adding pictures here and there, but here you go. Ask questions, make fun of me.

It all starts here, at my apt.

This is the Westwood Theater, I believe it was built in the 70's, wasn't used for awhile and then someone bought and is trying to renovate it. The old-style marquee is still up

This is main street, see all these older looking buildings.

Not sure what this building is used for now, but it was built in 1911.

Thanks. :)

We joke about it being the 'ditch', because 6 months out of the year that's what it is a ditch. The farmer across Madison county use it for irrigation.

I've got lots of memories from that town. You'll have to write up a little about the flood in the 1970s when the Teton Damn broke. It's a pretty interesting story. I hear that main street was a river (and I bet that canal was full).

Thanks for reminding me. It is a great place. :)

If you look in the river, you can actually see bits of the Teton Dam that weren't destroyed. They are just sort of sitting there.

Here's some more pictures I took on my way to work today!

As Jonny was talking about, the Flood of '75. This red mark on this light post symoblizes how deep the water was in this specific part of town, more towards main street it was worse.

Here are a few pictures of Porter Park...one of my favorite parks (and only ones) in Rexburg.

Here is Broulim's, one of our 3 grocery stores, and one isn't technically a grocery store. We have Wal-mart, Albertsons, and Broulims. I enjoy Broulims, because a) they deliver b) they just institued a whole organic section
