What´s the difference between.....

Not your average Mormon
So ultimately neither JW nor mormons believe in an eternal hell for humans?
Again, I'll let Pegg give you the final clarification of what JWs believe. I wouldn't say that Mormons don't believe in an eternal Hell, but I would say that we believe the number of individuals who will end up there is infinitesimally small. In a nutshell -- because I don't want to give you a whole lot more information than you actually want -- we believe that there is only one sin which cannot and will not be forgiven -- ever, and that's blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. Here's what we believe constitutes that sin: I don't know what your background is, or your knowledge of the events described in the Bible, but at one point during Jesus Christ's ministry, Peter, James and John witnessed what is commonly referred to as the "Transfiguration." Jesus Christ was "transfigured" before their eyes and they were given undeniable proof that He was, in fact, God (not God the Father, but part of the Godhead, i.e. deity). Had any of them subsequently denied that absolute knowledge, their act of denial would have constituted blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. The vast, vast majority of human beings are never given this degree of knowledge and are therefore not in a position where they even could commit this sin. In other words, a simple lack of faith is not considered blasphemy against the Holy Ghost and all other sins can be forgiven. With the exception of Lucifer and those spirits who were cast out of Heaven along with him, only those who blaspheme against the Holy Ghost will not ultimately end up in Heaven. While the Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in Hell, they don't believe the majority of mankind will end up in Heaven as Mormons do, but will instead simply cease to exist after the judgment (I hope I have that right; Pegg will tell you if I don't). Mormons, on the other hand, believe in a Heaven that is divided into three distinct "degrees of glory," and that pretty much everyone who has ever lived (including those individuals that the average person would consider to be the worst of the worst) will end up in one of those degrees of glory. We generally use the phrase "Outer Darkness" (as opposed to "Hell") to describe this place, completely devoid of God's glory. We don't see it as a literal lake of fire.

In case you're interested, here are links to three posts which explain in greater depth the Mormon doctrine of the afterlife. (You'd need to read all three to get the complete picture.)

Jehovah our God is One
our view is that hell is the common grave of mankind... so whoever dies will go there. Its not a place of fiery torment though...there is no consciousness after death, so when we die, it is as if we are sleeping.

According to revelation, everyone who is in hell will be brought out of it...they will be resurrected and later hell is said to be destroyed forever in the lake of fire. So death will be no more.

Hello,
I consider myself Evangelical “born again”.
Some of our core beliefs I would say are:
1. Everyone needs to be “born again” (concept of Original Sin). Because everyone is born separated from God and needs salvation.
2. The Bible is the inerrant perfect word of God that cannot be added to or subtracted from.
3. The saving death and resurrection of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, on the Cross.
4. Belief in the Trinity (co-equal, co-eternal Godhead: Father, Son, Holy Spirit)
5. Sharing the gospel with the world.
6. Belief in a literal hell for the lost that do not put their faith/trust in Jesus.
7. Belief in the rapture of the church
8. Coming judgment of the Earth
9. Christ coming back to literally reign and rule on Earth

I think preachers like Billy Graham would be the best example to give you.

Yes, the biblical hell [sheol] is literal because Jesus went to hell the day he died.
-Acts 2 vs27,31,32; Psalm 16v10

What is the 'Bible hell' [sheol] but the literal common grave of mankind.

So, there is a BIG difference between the false pagan-myth eternal-burning hell,
and the temporary 'biblical hell' or common grave where the dead sleep until resurrected.
Resurrected to either heaven to reign with Christ [Rev. 20v6;14v4; 5vs9,10],
or, a physical resurrection on earth during Jesus messianic 1000-year reign over earth.
At that millennial time according to Revelation [20 vs13,14] everyone in the Bible's hell will be 'delivered up' [resurrected] out of the biblical hell.
Then, emptied-out hell is cast vacant into a symbolic 'second death' or No further existence forever.

Jesus taught at John [11vs11-14] that the dead are in a deep sleep-like state.
Jesus was well educated in the Hebrew OT Scriptures that also teach the dead sleep.
Such as at:
Psalms 6v5; 13v3; 115v17; 146v4

King Solomon [1st Kings 3vs4-14] was known for having God-given wisdom.
Solomon wrote at Ecclesiastes [9v5] that the dead know nothing.

The wages or price sin pays is: death.
The soul that sins: dies. [Ezekiel 18 vs4,20]
The soul can be: destroyed. [Acts 3v23]

Those committing the unforgivable sin [Matthew 12v32; Hebrews 6 vs4-6]
are Not considered to be in hell but in Gehenna [English for hellfire]
Gehenna was a garbage pit outside of Jerusalem where things were destroyed.
Destroyed not kept burning forever.

Everyone in the biblical hell [gravedom] will be resurrected out of the Bible's hell.
Those committing the unforgivable sin will be punished with everlasting destruction.
[2nd Thess. 1v9; Psalm 92v7]
Such as Satan will be destroyed by Jesus according to Hebrews 2v14 B.
Satan ends up in 'second death' according to Revelation 21v8
So, Gehenna [English hellfire] is a fitting symbol for annihilation or destroyed forever.
Whereas the biblical hell [sheol] is just the temporary common grave of mankind.
