Why call Trump a felon. Why not just call him a criminal?Okay, I'm done going around in circles with you.
Black unemployment was high when Trump took office in 2016. This has historically been the case for various reasons, especially in Democrat run cities. It was not properly addressed by Obama and Biden. Trump's goal was to create jobs to address this high level of black unemployment, using targeted changes in black neighborhoods; black jobs.During the debate some topics were...
-black unemployment...by both
-creating black jobs...by both
-black jobs being stolen by illegal immigrants...by Trump
What are black jobs?
Because when people are distinguishing between legal and illegal immigrants, it's tedious to have to say "immigrants" each and every time. People tend to shorten phrases for brevity. Just as people say prez instead of president, or SCOTUS instead of Supreme Court of the United States, or America instead of United States of America. No other groups other than illegal immigrants are referred to as "illegals". Why do you think that is?
Because of polarization. Both sides believe strongly that they are correct, and believe that they other side is a big threat to the country. That sounds like the M.O. of your entire body politic, tbh. Why is the tone of US political debate so hysterical?
Sounds like you're just promoting victimhood propaganda.Because conservatives are weak and racist, and need groups to prejudice against to make them feel special and privileged. They can't openly be racist against blacks, even though Trump referred to "black jobs" as if that is a known category of jobs. And gays have too much equality as a norm to be prejudiced against directly (even though Sam Alito's wife was recorded as being hostile to gay pride). So trans people are the new target, along with other marginalized groups whose freedom of expression and liberty to be who they are is attacked.
Dude, get a grip! They cross the border illegally, and commit heinous crimes against our citizens and cost the country billions of dollars, and you're only concerned about them being called "illegal" without the word "immigrant" being attached to it.So why not just refer to them as illegal immigrants?
Why not just call them illegal immigrants, rather than "illegals"?
Please wrap your head around this.
You mean, it's tedious to refer to the thing you are referring to?Because when people are distinguishing between legal and illegal immigrants, it's tedious to have to say "immigrants" each and every time.
And yet this rule regarding brevity only seems to be applied to one specific group. Why do you think that is?People tend to shorten phrases for brevity. Just as people say prez instead of president, or SCOTUS instead of Supreme Court of the United States, or America instead of United States of America.
Speaking of "getting a grip", you might want to wind your neck back in on those claims, as you seem to be pretty clearly implying that calling them "illegals" carries deserved negative connotations. Which kind of makes my point for me that that's the REASON you use it.Dude, get a grip! They cross the border illegally, and commit heinous crimes against our citizens and cost the country billions of dollars,
I'm just asking why it is, and since you don't appear to have a straight answer, it's pretty obvious what that is. It's dehumanisation. And the fact that you group them all together as "committing heinous crimes" and "costing the country billions", it's pretty obvious that's the intention.and you're only concerned about them being called "illegal" without the word "immigrant" being attached to it.
All I did was ask a simple question. The fact that you went right off the deep-end and all but admitted that it's intentional dehumanisation of a group you wish to demonise you did all on your own, without any prodding or insinuation by me.Get your priorities straight.
One post later:Sounds like you're just promoting victimhood propaganda.

You don't think that's weird?

And committing a felony is what gives Trump his status as a felon.Crossing the border illegally is an illegal action which gives them their illegal status.
I hope that clears things up for ya.
Nice whataboutism, but I guess everything is about Trump, even when you're asking why illegal aliens are called illegals. And committing a felony is what gives Trump his status as a felon.

Try watching Biden's Press conference tonight. Tomorrow we'll see a thread started about it, and of course people like you will try to make it about Trump.
Why call Trump a felon. Why not just call him a criminal?
Because felon refers to his criminal status.
