What Are the Most Over-Rated Movies of All Time?

What are the most over-rated moveis of all time. This can include movies that were overly popular, overly critically aclaimed, overly hyped, overly awarded, etc.

This doesn't mean they are necessarily bad movies, but not deserving of their reputation.

Mine would be:

Scarface
No Country for Old Men
Memento
Dog Day Afternoon
Twelve Monkeys

I don't think any of these are bad, and are actually watchable, but they're mediocre at best.

Of those listed so far I only disagree with Scarface. On my list are:

Godfather (All of them)
Full Metal Jacket
Any movie with Leslie Nielson in it

YmirGF

Bodhisattva in Recovery
Any Star Wars movie
Anything from the brothers Marx
Brokeback Mountain
Crash
Mystic River

Citizen Kane, often voted the best movie ever made. I never got that.

It's for its technical achievements. It revolutionized how films are made.

Ah. So it's probably better appreciated by the people in the industry itself (or educated movie buffs) than by the average viewer.

I wonder how often this "revolutionary cinema techniques" phrase is used to defend otherwise lacklustre movies.
