I like to stick mostly to grains, fruits and vegetables but a nice juicy steak every once in a while and a roast on Sundays are oh so good.

I'm an A-1 fan. anyone else love A-1?

I voted "General - Meat Eater" although I am an aspiring vegetarian. I hardly ever eat red meat, and I don't think I'd ever never stop eating fish, but my goal is to cut out all red meat and chicken/turkey. I am just such a fast food addict (chicken generally) that I know it would be a real lifestyle change. I'd have to actually cook meals for a change. I just don't know if I have the determination I'd need to stick to my commitment.

Er...like what's the difference between General Meat Eater and All Meat Eater?

And where's CHOCOLATE? Didn't anyone tell you that's a food group?

I would prefer a diet that is primarily meat, with not much more than meat.
But living on my own now, I have found meat to be very expensive, and that I can buy more food if I buy less meat.
I doubt I could go back to a meat rich diet though, as my blood preassure has dropped by 10 on both diastolic and systolic (I use to be at 140/70, now I'm at 130/60.) I don't really feel any better, but with my maternal grandfather and uncle dying from heart related problems, and my dad has high blood preassure, I'm guessing a good blood preassure will add a few years to my life, and reduce the chances of stroke/heart attack.

(General) Meat Eater .

It depends on my wife's whims, at the time. I used to love meat; she decided that we would all be fitter as Vegetarians, and I became used to that idea; as soon as I had done so, she thought that being a vegetarian was a bit "limited".

The only real change (in me) is that I could very hapilly become vegetarian, vegan, whatever - if the choice was mine - and that would not be from a Moral perspective, since, to me, eating a cabbage is still killing a life.

I'm vegetarian. I love animals.

I love animals, too. I love my kitty cat, and am fairly big on animal rights, but I still eat meat. Not a lot, mind you, I hate pork and fish of all kinds. I like chicken and beef, and that's about it. Oh and turkey and dove and deer, if we're talking about wild animals. I was a vegeterian for about a year. It didn't go over well with my family. Oh well, I'm much happier eating meat anyway.

Hehe. Ok, NOW it makes sense. I'm a "general meat eater" who often aspires to vegetarianism.

good lord, who's the guy who lives entirely on flesh?
There are some Inuit-related peoples in Siberia who do that. The Inuit probably used to be not far off of total meat eating in the past. They've probably adapted so such a diet, though. I sure wouldn't recommend it for anyone else. :areyoucra

I chose General meat eater. I couldn't live without raspberries, blueberries and wheat. :eat:

My vegetarian doctor has ordered me to eat meat, so I kinda have to. But honestly, 3 oz of meat at a meal is *not* much. Try and get a 3 oz. steak at a restaurant sometime. I know one Thai place that has wonderful scallops and that's about what you get.

I was a near vegetarian for about 3 years, but I always felt very run down and got ill faster. I expect my diet was not balanced.
