What are your pronouns?

an anarchist

Your local loco.
Would you mind sharing your pronouns? If not, I can use gender neutral language for you. But I guess I just prefer to use gender centric language sometimes (he/she) as opposed to gender neutral language (they) just for the sake of the flow of the sentence.

Also, gender is a huge aspect of you (in my opinion)! I won’t judge you based off your gender, I simply ask you this question in the same spirit of how I would ask what your religious beliefs or your political beliefs or your favorite food is.

Also, I got the wrong gender in my head for some members I realized. I thought @Secret Chief was a girl cuz the profile pic but then I seen some people refer to them as “he”. Just an example.

Anyways, I go by he/him. I’m a bro, bro.

My pronouns are whatever you want them to be!

Well, to some extent. No they, please. It makes me feel fat.

Story time!

One of my favorite things about the internet growing up was that nobody would know your sex or gender unless you told them. As a kid I had to deal with a lot of really crappy things because of a "mismatch" between these, as presumed by the culture I grew up in. On the internet, I could just... be who I was. It was the best thing. I wasn't treated weird because of a culturally presumptuous mismatch between what I looked like and how I acted. Folks on the internet by and large just assumed I was male, and that was that. They still do. And they'd tend to be shocked or straight up not believe me in the rare instances where I told them I wasn't. Says some things, that.

Experiences like that are part of why when I learned about the term "nonbinary" I went "okay, I guess that's what I'm called, huh?" I didn't openly proclaim they/them pronouns until relatively recently; I'd been called a she/her in the physical plane and a he/him on the digital plane. A they/them is more authentic to the course of my life's path, but honestly? Folks can use whatever. I grew up before awareness of who and what I am. Because of that, while I know who I am it's also awkward and confusing sometimes; like it is "bad" or "wrong" or "incorrect" to be anything other than the this-or-that binary my childhood culture hoisted on me.

But it isn't bad or wrong or incorrect.

Folks are who they are.

And for the sake of the kids growing up now, I put myself out there with they/them pronouns, even if it makes me uncomfortable sometimes (especially in light of recent hostilities). I'm doing it for them more than I am doing it for me.

Use any and all pronouns including neo and it/it's
Any and all pronouns neutral androgynous femme and masc. Including neo pronouns and it/its. One my favorite ones can only be used virtually it's called emoji self pronouns. Instead of she/her or he/him you put an emoji. I think that's pretty cool. Anyone that uses those for me i give full range to use any emoji they see fit as long as it's fitting even if it's insulting. I'd love to see the creativity.

I have no preferred pronouns, I don't really care. I'm traditionally referred to as he/him.

I think, and the reactions in this OP confirm it, that the whole gender discussion has been blown out of proportion, mainly by those who refuse to be polite.
