What can happen when you believe nonsense...

It has everything to do with fundamentalism because Fundamentalist Christian parents are known for kicking their LGBT kids out of the house, making LGBT youth a very high risk group for being homeless. Liberal Christian parents are not doing this. Moderate Christian parents are not doing this. Just as those two groups are not killing their children with prayer. Fundamentalists, on the other hand, that is a group with members who do refuse to take their ill child to a doctor, leading to a treatment of prayers with the end result being a dead child.
You are painting all fundie parents with the same broad brush. I am confident that my parents would never do such a thing. Heck my younger brother is an atheist, and he was never ostracized. My older brother shacked up for years and was never ostracized. Did such things hurt them? Deeply. But they knew how to love despite disagreement and hurt.

I didn't imply all extremes. I mentioned only religious extremes, specifically lack of belief in God, and devotion to God. Try not to go off topic when I say something that makes you uncomfortable.
It seems you are uncomfortable with the idea that fundamentalist beliefs can cause some very bad outcomes. Such as, you keep insisting I am implying this happens to all, even though I've stated numerous times it's a possible outcome. I even compared it to things that can, but not always, wreck physical health. But you keep jumping on this idea I'm taking huge strokes and lumping everyone together. You even claim it's false to say fundamentalism can distort someone's moral compass, even though you've been given numerous examples to the contrary.

What I don't appreciate is the fact that you ignore the fact that fundamentalist families can be perfectly healthy, raising perfectly healthy well adjusted children, and that these are not some small minority.

I'm not ignoring that fact. Even smokers sometimes die healthy. But the problems that revolve around fundamentalist parents, those are not problems or concerns for moderate or liberal religious parents. They do not try pray illness away rather than seek medical care. They do not resort to barbarism to get a demon out of their child. They do not disown their child and kick them out of the house. But, the group with parents who do those very things are fundamentalist parents.

But moderate, liberal parents have their own problems. For one thing, their children are far more likely to say, "Well, this is wrong, but not in my own personal situation." And I disagree about the disowning. Back in the bad old days when gay was scorned, liberal christians did their own fair share of shaming and disowning.

We aren't talking about their problems. This isn't a game of whataboutism. And, if you want to go that route, how many of their problems result in their children dying, with some states granting legal protections if their child dies?
And I disagree about the disowning.
Really? I mean, you can, but facts are LGBT youth are at a high risk of homelessness, and fact that fundamentalist religious beliefs are a strong driving force behind that.

Yeah. I remember. Even when I was a child it was basically an accusation and crime to be gay. But, since then, as a young adult, I met a more liberal Episcopalian priest who took a huge leap and began to openly welcome homosexuals into his church before it became common enough for the word "affirming church" to be used. However, he lost a chunk of his congregation. It was the more Conservative and Fundamentalist members who left. And even that was nearly 20 years ago. We are talking about today.
