Here are some contribution of the "western civilisation" to humanity in general: democracy, republicanism, habeas corpus, seperation of powers, secularism, capitalism, human rights, communism, socialism, feminism, naturalism (both philosophical and methodological), chemistry, physics, industrialisation, Christianity, federalism, legalism and so, so many more. The Western world has shaped humanity in a lot of ways good, bad and ugly.

The Mughals were not exactly egalitarian men of the people who ruled in the citizens best interests though, were they?

The problem with these "but the west is so evil" type polemics is that they sugar-coat what came before. People have always conquered others, and would have continued to do wether it was Europeans of otherwise.

Most of the modern technologies in communication, entertainment, healthcare, transportation, and military, including those that enabled them to conquer much of the world; the development of modern science; forms of culture from art to architecture to literature to music to film; ending the slave trade; basically far more than most.

But civilisations follow cycles of rise and fall, there were many great powers before the Europeans and they all made significant contributions to the world we live in too. People build on what came before, they don't start from fresh each time.

Most of the goods that make life bearable are invented in the western world. Including, may i add, the computing device and internet that you use so dis the western world.
