What convinced you that Evolution is the truth?

Just keep blindly believing what science feeds you
You see, that's the thing about people who apply science in their lives. They don't "blindly believe." They are, for the most part, skeptics by nature. They do their own homework before they buy into just about anything someone tells them.

You’re the one that lives in a dream world unfortunately. Just keep blindly believing what science feeds you

Really?

Of course this question is addressed both to theists and to atheists. Both to those who believe in evolution and those who believe it's untrue.
Explain why you, through your intelligence, reason and mind developped the awareness and the conviction that Evolution is the historical truth.

If you are a theist, please explain the theological implications, as well.

I will underline that we are not talking about Intelligence Design, here: we are talking about Darwinian evolution based upon the Darwinian principles like natural selection, etc..etc...
Thank you for participating- ;)
I don't need to believe. Evolution has been observed and documented first hand to put any and all doubts to rest.

Darwin, had a perspective of natural selection but did not use the word evolution even once in his book.

My perspective, came from watching nature but the clincher was watching an embryo develop to a human child.

It makes perfect sense, it has been tested and not falsified for almost a century.

I have not answered the OP.

As far as science is concerned, there are no better alternative theories that explain the mechanisms the biodiversity of life on Earth.

it is not just the fossil records. Most biologists are not paleontologists, and most have examined & studied fossils.

Most biologists are focused on living & extant species, not extinct, so the evidence come from examining evidence, particularly the relatedness of species through physical traits (such as their morphology) and the relatedness of species through the DNA analysis & comparisons.

Not only there are logic in each of the evolutionary mechanisms, the evidence support the logic of each mechanisms.

For those who don’t know what I means by mechanisms, there are now 5 mechanisms in the theory of Evolution:
  1. Natural Selection
  2. Genetic Drift
  3. Mutations
  4. Gene Flow
  5. Genetic Hitchhiking
Now while Natural Selection is the oldest of the 5 mechanisms, and Darwin’s original framework was generally correct, it has been greatly expanded, modified and updated since then, to include the latest knowledge of genetics, DNA and molecular biology, and many other fields.

Also, in the paleontology field, the knowledge of fossilisation and stratigraphy have also been greatly advanced in the last 50 years.

Evolutionary biology is not the same as back in 1859. It is called progress, for those still living in the Dark Ages (particularly the YEC creationists).

That’s because he called it Natural Selection.
