What Did Jesus Teach...In Your Opinion?

Perhaps this is more a question regarding your understanding of Jesus and his teachings. I'm curious whether there is a consensus or not. If you don't mind me asking, of course.

There will never be consensus because humans will always think they know better than someone else....

I believe that Jesus taught us how to be better people...to love God...to be of help to our neighbors even if they are very different to ourselves, allowing no differences to make us withdraw care for them as fellow human beings.....and to gain salvation by helping others to know about God and his Kingdom.

Talk is cheap, so we have to find the ones who walk the talk, and demonstrate that they really follow Christ in their daily lives...not just something they do once a week in a building, or on a screen.

There is only one truth, and we have to find it.....if we are sincere God will direct us.

Jesus taught in my opinion the method how to realize or reach the Rule ("kingdom") of God or Holy Spirit.
In other words, He taught tantra or mysticism.

That we should love each other as he has loved us.

That we should love and forgive our enemies.

That what we do to each other, we do to God.

That this world is Caesar’s world, and nothing of it is of enduring value.

That in God’s world, the lowly shall be exalted, and the mighty will be humbled.

That the priestly class is often hypocritical, and not to be trusted.

That we should not fear death.

That the Kingdom of God is at hand.

That if we repent of our sins, they will be forgiven us.

Im my opinion jesus taught nothing. But the bible has it that he taught the Bill and Ted by line "be excellent to each other"

His Teachings are cool but what I like about him is that he symbolizes a great blessing for humankind

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Aside from loving kindness among fraternity, the teachings are not very good.

It essentially teaches people how to be a good ole boy and joining their club.

IMO, Jesus did not provide a new teaching, or law. He offered a new way to fulfil the law. Not by our own works, but through faith in HIM.
Jesus taught people how to worship himself.

It's a self serving teaching akin to how cults work.

The Teachings of Jesus are recorded in the Gospels and elaborated further through His Apostles. However not everyone sees the NT books as providing a reliable record.

In my opinion, he didn't exist. Yet we have such 'discussion' placed in interfaith. Jesus isn't relevant to everyone, people. Beats me.

Yet there are those Hindus that acknowledge Jesus as an avatar. Even Ramakrishna placed him in the Hindu pantheon.

Jesus isn't relevant to only Christians.

Okay then. For me it maintains the one way street of subtle proselytising. Jesus belongs in interfaith, but aspects of other religions don't. That's why a 'Hindu' organisation like SRF morphed into Christianity once the Hindu founder passed.

Discussion on any religion can be in interfaith...Christianity, Hinduism, etc. Exclusivity isn't prohibited in interfaith.

It's worth noting that it is possible for a person of one religion to learn something from a person of another. Interfaith allows people from different religions to have a discussion about one religion or many.

I think he existed, but not as depicted in the Bible, the NT of which was compiled more than 350 years after his death.

Being in human form on earth, Jesus Christ always pointed people to the Father. Now that he is raised, the body of Christ is encouraged to pray to the Father in the name of the Son, Jesus Christ.
