Traditionally where I live it's supposed to be pork and saurkraut, mashed potatoes and dumplings..It's supposed to have something to do with luck for the new year...well..we had a ham dinner with mashed potatoes and homemade noodles(pennsylvania dutch style of course)...lots of other stuff along side of that as well...I never believed in superstition (much):biglaugh:. Usually we have turkey and saurkraut...anyone ever done it that way? It's so good I was amazed. I was afraid to try it for so long but that is out typical New Years dinner.Bangbang said:We had Keilbasa,Kraut, and Mashed Potatoes. This is a family favorite.
