I don’t think most Hindus know who he is.

I think most religions weigh in on people who engage in sex for pay.

(What??? My bad. I thought she said “Whores.”)

What does Buddhism think of Horus?

A Buddhist might say that if Horus exists, he is a deva or divine/celestial entity who is subject to dukkha or ‘dissatisfaction/suffering’ like all other sentient beings. As well, when he is reborn as a human after his long, long life as a deva is over, he will have the opportunity to take refuge in the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha in order to follow the path to end dukkha. As to what Buddhism itself thinks about Horus in particular, nothing.

What does Hinduism think of Horus?

The Vedas, which are the oldest Hindu scriptures, speak of many solar devas. For that reason, a Hindu might say Horus is just one of many solar deities. Depending on what school of philosophy a Hindu subscribes to, a Hindu would see Horus the way a Buddhist does, but with the exception that (1) Horus is ultimately an ātman or eternal soul in a divine body and (2) that he could attain liberation from the cycle of metempsychosis by attaining a human birth and following a path that will lead him to the said liberation. Many Vaisnava Hindus would say he, like all other human beings, can only achieve liberation by devotion to Visnu/Krsna. Of course, Hinduism does not think anything about Horus in particular.

What does Sikhism think of Horus?

Like with Buddhism and Hinduism, Sikhism does not think anything about Horus in particular. The central scripture and perpetual gurū of Sikhism—the Gurū Granth Sāhib—speaks of there being devas, so a Sikh who is aware of this might say Horus is a deva. Further, when Horus’s long, long life as a deva expires, he, who is a jīv or eternal soul like all other beings, could attain birth as a human being. With the nadar or ‘grace’ of Wāhigurū, he will become a Sikh or ‘Student’ of Gurū Granth Sāhib and learn from him in order to achieve liberation from the cycle of metempsychosis. A major part of the path to liberation is to meditate on and repeat the Nām or ‘Name’ of Wāhigurū, who is also known as Onkār, Bhagwān, Hari, Rām, Prabh, and many other names.
