What do you do for a living?
I'm a used colostomy bag salesman. :D

I'm moving out of my mental house into a board and Lodge... I have to wait till my SSI people go to court before I can start working again.
My other jobs were janitorial jobs, fast food, and car detailing. I hated every one of those jobs except the janitorial one... I also did odd jobs at monasteries and convents. I was studying to be a monk.

I tried to be a certified nurse's aide but that didn't work out. I showed up drunk and threw up all over the floor

I used to work as a groundskeeper for the Catholic Health System. I actually missed that job.

Now I'm driving a tractor trailer.

I've done just about everything under the sun. Drug dealer/hustler in my youth. My first legal job was working for the street department in my town, mowing grass, picking up trash on the side of the road. Dishwasher at a hospital kitchen. 2 fast food chains. Wal-Mart for a few years. Drove big rigs for a few years. Forklift operator/warehouse stockman. Welder for a year or so. Solvent recycling for a few years. After years of hard labor I decided to go back to school for a better life. So I did that for a few years. I cant reveal what I do now, so I can stay anonymous, but I work closely with the EPA and I'll just leave it at that.

As of now, I'm unemployed, and repair electronics to resell them, or fix other people's stuff (but often times they seem to not have the money and go in assuming the me undercutting the "pros" means I can replace a broken screen for $10-$20). And that basically amounts to less than a full time job with what it brings in.

Sounds kind of like me. I've been all over the place, have had a ton of different jobs, and went back to school looking for something better.
But, then I graduated, and realized around here even with a degree that is extremely difficult to do. So, come the dawn of the next year (earlier actually) I'm looking to get out and far away from here - like most Indiana college grads who have no future here despite having a degree.

I really want something better than a job that basically requires you to do nothing more than breathe and count to 10. Not that drug dealers and users bother me, potentially violent coworkers don't really unnerve me, and I'll associate with felons and non-criminals alike, but god I really want something better. I even support companies who do hire felons who are trying to make a life for themselves post-incarceration. "Unskilled" have been pretty much just about all of my friends. I do have a bad knee that limits me, but I'm none of those I mentioned, and I want more, and I know I deserve better.
But yet, as it stands, illegal activities have still been the best sources of income for me, providing the most income per-hour of "working," it's been the easiest, and it was about on par with being self employed (except that requires meticulous record keeping). I don't do crime anymore, but if I did I'd probably have the money to fund my move to California by the end of the year, including a Uhaul and possibly even moving crew to do it all for me.

I've worked in a florist cleaning pots, prepping flowers and foliage, and maintaining the PC.
I've been an office clerk doing accounts and payroll a couple of times.
I've been a library technician and a council rates officer.
My career for nearly the last decade, however, has been office administration-type stuff. Here's a short song that kind of sums it up:

I sell off things & I rent out stuff.
On Wednesdays I go shopping, & have buttered scones with tea.
