All I know is God is just a word. What the word means is irrelevant because the meaning of the word God only exists in people's imaginations. When I hold and apple in my hand I say "apple". I cannot do the same thing with "God". As a result, what is an apple is clearly defined. Whereas each person on earth has their on unique definition for the word God.
That's true. God is not clearly defined, since God is undefinable. We can only know God by His attributes, which are revealed in scriptures.

That's the thing... LH was trying to say that no matter what religion or belief that everyone is in reality praying to and worshipping the same God.

Unless @loverofhumanity is your sock puppet account, let's leave it to them to tell us what they're trying to say.

My argument against was that if a religion is defining their God different than another religion, then it is not the same God.

I agree.

Personally, I know different amounts about different Gods, which is why I asked.

Obviously the meaning of the word ‘God’ is not irrelevant, since you have used it four times in as many sentences, in the not unreasonable conviction that you would be understood.

The word God, like all words, is partly defined by it’s context; that it’s meaning is subject to nuance and interpretation, is not to say it is without meaning at all.

Let me clarify that...
That's the thing... LH was trying to say that no matter what religion or belief that everyone is in reality praying to and worshipping the same God.
That's what I believe he's claiming. And I think that's true, because he's a Baha'i, and I've spent a few years with Baha'is and learning about their teachings.

The basic steps in the progression of learning about the Baha'i Faith is first... believe that we are all one. The next thing is that Baha'is believe that most all religions, especially the major religions are all true and from the one true God. Getting people to believe that is an important step to get them to believe that this true God has sent many manifestation/messengers. Their prophet, Baha'u'llah, they believe is the latest one. From there a person is told about the details of Baha'i teachings and beliefs. As religions go, it's not too bad, but I just couldn't believe all of it.
