Incense most definitely. The only crystal ball I really liked was in The Wizard of Oz.

I've never had much success with crystal ball divination, but I have one, and I do enjoy looking through it. Its pretty.

For what purpose? As a table decoration, a crystal ball. For smelly surroundings, incense.

That's a good point, they're for pretty different purposes.

Even ritually, they are not used the same.

I don't own a crystal ball and wouldn't have any use for one if I did. I do, however, burn incense throughout the day.

Patchouli and vetiver incense is great. I've no need for a crystal ball (but they do look nice, though).

Scrying is great, but I don't get the appeal of crystal balls for it. Genuine ones are extremely expensive and you can practice scrying in completely free mediums from leaves rustling in the wind to the spackle on your ceiling. Or, more appropriately (though not free) in the wafting smoke of incense. Scrying isn't what most folks use incense for; divination is an uncommon art.

Don't own any or any incense accessories

But I think the smell of it puts me in a spiritual mood

Possibly because I associate it with churches

I don't have a crystal ball and don't want one, none of that stuff is of any interest to me
