I believe it's possible for houses, items, and some people to be "haunted", but that it happens very rarely.

Seriously though,if someone asked you to stay in a haunted house the seed is already sown,every noise like creaking floor boards is a ghost,a sizeable industry nowadays

I think ghosts are real.But I think I might be tempting fate.By going in a haunted house.

Are the houses said to be haunted typically less popular?
LOL... typically from my understanding.
But as a true story, when my wife was a child, they moved into a house. At night they would hear all the dishes thrown to the floor and it breaking but when they went to the kitchen nothing was broken...
and when they went out as a family, when they came back all the furniture was outside of the house...
They moved away to another house pretty quick.
