If we say Manson causes bad impressions upon teens, why not look at other music stars?
I'd say Britney has caused more than Manson. 10 year olds copying her style is definitly a worry.

I don't have any of his cds but I've heard his music and I like it.:jam:
As far as his persona is concerned, he's just another dweeb who made good. More power to him.:D

i dunno. never heard his music, i stick with Pantera. I doubt he's evil, i doubt he gives a bad example for the impressionable youth, but i do think hes weird. but whats so bad about that? im weird too.

I heard him in an interview. Quite an articulate fellow. Very well read too. He talked about religion and politics and I found his views and points very strong at the time though I couldn't go point by point as to what he said. He ain't a big fan of Bush or the repulican/christian movement for the record.

What do you think about marilyn manson?

Don't own any of his CDs , but I do like some of his songs . What I think about him personally is that he has a gimmick going that is making him quite a bit of money ....

Do you think he really makes teens do bad things?

Only if he is holding a gun to thier heads .

Do you think he is weird?Do you think he is evil?

Yes . Because he is making more money then I do . But compare to Jacko , he is as straight as an arrow ...

I love his covers. :D

otherwise I'll agree he's just another dweeb made good. He took a vacant, or at least underexploited niche in music and ran with it. He saw what Alice Cooper and others did and put a newer more 'extreme' spin on it.

hm... i dont know much about him. I dont like his music though. im more of a mello, easy going type, not really into that intense hard core metal.

concerning religion and politics, i think that its cool that he does what he wants. many people keep thier true feelings and desires hidden. To be free and express oneself (and get paid big bucks) is pretty good. but with such freedom, exercising caution is a must. the danger of course would be impressinable youth.

i guess hes okay. cept with the whole worship the devil thing.

A very intellegent man
but a talentless shock-rocker who falls in same category as KISS in my opinion...good show not much substance

all though i am a fan of "I don't like the drugs but the drugs like me"...my anthem in college:jiggy:

I like Marilyn Manson. I like the fact that he brought the theatrics back to rock and roll (like Alice Cooper and Kiss before him). I like the attitude of his music and I like Robtex mentioned, he is very intelligent. I heard he was supposed to play Willy Wonka in this upcoming film instead of Johnny Depp.

Very entertaining. I used to watch his music videos. Very intelligent, too. I would love to sit down and actually talk to him. He is very frightening to me though since he was raised a Christian and he is one of the rare people who actually does know all about Jesus - and rejected him anyway.

And he goes WAAA HAAAY to far in his shock rock acts.

I mean obviously, he even picked the name for publicity - after Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson, cause they were the most famous people of his era. I think he's pretty old, actually.

I would NOT want to go to his house. He apparently has a chandelier made out of a little boy's skeleton - at least I THINK the boy died of natural causes in some other country. And he's QUITE unhygenic!! :(

Oh yeah and I do like what that one rock band (can't think of the name) said about him in that "you've got the music in you" song. Something like "Beck and Hanson, Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson, you're all fakes run to your mansions, come around we'll kick your a***s. That always made me laugh.

Come on, nobody is going to say he is evil and is corrupting our children? You guys take the fun out of everything.

I've stopped counting the number of times i've seen him perform. I've had the oppportunity to speak to him several times. He is very intelligent and well spoken. This disappoints many of his detractors. He has unfortunately become somewhat of a recluse because of death threats from fundamentalists.

I really don't think anything "makes" kids do bad things but thier own free will. I don't care for his music but whatever he makes good money doing it so more power to him.
