What do you think

We Never Know

No Slack
I'm sure at some point we all have been asked 'what do you think'.

I have been asked that many times in life but when asked by a young person the other day my answer was this...

I think I have made several bad choices in my life based on unfounded thoughts, worries and fears without taking the thoughts and feelings of others into my decisions.

Along with those bad choices I hurt myself and others because at times I was selfish, angry, or just didn't care.

Those were mistakes that in turn became lessons. Learn from them so you don't repeat them.

I've seen life come into this world and I have seen life leave this world. Both will forever hold a spot in your mind.

I've been to the bottom and I've been to the top. Each come with their own problems.

Don't buy your wants and then beg for your needs. Make the best of what you have.

Love people for who they are. Don't try to change them to what you want.

When you think things can't get worse, take time to look around and you will see others that have it worse.

You can disagree with someone without hating them. Many have forgotten this.

Happiness isn't a thing you find, its a thing you create.

Not everyone wants to see you succeed. Be careful who you let on your ship because some will try to sink it.

Your past is the past, let it go.
Your future is coming, grab ahold.

The kid set silently for a minute with an odd look then said thank you.
