What does everyone believe

I believe in a continuous, fairly chaotic flow of intents, mutual causes and consequences that is challenging but by no means impossible to follow, influence and even understand to some degree, and that it is ultimately everyone's sacred duty to attempt to.

I believe in the awesome potential of mankind. The following list of words describes me pretty well:

Secular Humanist
Rationalist
Atheist

The Emperor of Mankind

Currently the galaxy's spookiest paraplegic
I believe in the gods worshipped by the Ancient Greeks. I believe the divine is not divorced from the world around us, that all natural things are imbued with spirit; plants, stones, animals (not just humans) and that we are free to worship the gods or not - and that there is no punishment for refusing to do so. I also believe that we can attain symbiotic relationships with gods for mutual benefit.

In here? I believe in Jesus Christ. That you must be born again.
I believe Jehovah is the only true God and that Jesus Christ is God's Son. (John 17:3, 3:16) I also believe Christ will soon return to judge the wicked and bring everlasting life on earth to the righteous. (2 Thessalonians 1:6-9, Matthew 5:5)

I believe we are far more than we dare to believe and so experience a world far short of its potential. It's a work in progress...

I believe in holistic living. That developing a natural lifestyle and prayer to the Earth keeps me ticking. I believe in active prayer (Id say witchcraft but that has too many bad connontations in many faiths and cultures). I believe working With the Earth to pray for others and myself is also a key point in my faith.

I believe: In no God, Son, Holy Spirit. I believe that when we particpate with the earth, her people, and ourselves we are saved.

I believe: In animism. I believe all things and living have spirits. That is one reason I pray for living and use natural things in prayer. They have spirits that heal, protect, and love among other things

I believe: That Jesus, as a human, came to show everyone how to sacrifice themselves for others by sacrificing Himself for His God. I believe His action of sacrifice even if its taking time to pray should be a core set in spiritually, as in my faith; and, being a former practicing Catholic, thats I learned and keep with me daily.

I believe: In pantheism. I believe that the definition of God in any faith as is what nature is by definition.

I believe: In our Buddha nature. I believe that the Law of the Buddha is within me and that my nature-the inner wisdom--is expressed by my relationship with the earth, Her people, and myself.

I believe many things. It's very open ended question, and I'm sure you believe in many more things than just Jesus. Don't you believe your wife is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? And such.

But if you're asking what I believe about God, universe, religion, faith, and spirituality, then I can say I'm a mix of weak atheist, agnostic, naturalistic pantheist, panentheist, and many other things. I've been influenced by people I've met online and in life and essentially have an idea of how the world works, and it would take time to explain it all, and even then, I have strong doubts it would be clear anyway. :)

I am a Communist because I accept the Marxist philosophy of 'dialectical materialism' as (probably) true. I have my doubts. Whether I think Communism likely to happen in the near future or would be a good thing remains open.

[I realise alot of atheists have replied to your thread, but Christians do actually make up a very good portion of the active members (about 20% on a poll I saw recently). so don't be too worried. the atheists just tend to make more noise. :) ]

Oh man, I am not exactly sure how to approach this...

I consider myself a Pantheist. I revere Nature, seen and unseen.
I have a tendency to personify the Earth as "Gaea" our mother, which is definitely true in a sense.

I also believe in many of the principals of Philosophical Taoism, and that it is one of many ways to help people live a good life.

In addition to this I believe in a host of deities from a host of pantheons whom I respect and revere, but I worship the Norse pantheon.

One thing I believe is that the universe exists. I refer to the reason that there is something rather than nothing as God. I don't claim to know anything about God.

I also believe that the most important part of a living thing, and possibly every other thing, is a part of God. The metaphor I use is a drop of spray off the crest of an ocean wave. In a way, it exists separately from the ocean for a moment. But in a more real way, it is always part of the ocean. When it splashes back, in one way it ceases to exist forever. But in another way it doesn't, it continues to exist for as long as the ocean does.
Similarly, I believe that we human beings have at least three parts. Our meat, our identity, and our soul. When we die our meat returns to nature and continues the cycle. Our identity vanishes like the software and stored data when a computer is destroyed. Our soul goes back to God.

And finally, I believe that my best understanding of the Truth is just my best guess, given my limited perceptions and mental power. I'm confident that the True Reality is far beyond the abilities of any human. I am sure that we humans know, and can know, as much about "God, the Universe, and Everything" as an amoeba knows about astrophysics.
