What fictional figure are we like?

Feathers in Hair

World's Tallest Hobbit
As a sister-thread to No*s' brilliant "What Historical Figure are we like?" thread (which it is imperitive that you post in right away, since it's incredible!), I thought I'd start up one in which we compare the person who posted before us to a fictional figure. This can either be a mythological one (or one you interpret as being mythological, for example, see below!) or one from the creative pursuits (literature, movies, TV, etc).

This one will have mostly the same rules! We need to know a little about the figure you're comparing them to, the comparison must be positive (feek free to compare them to a non-positive character, just as long as it is not implying that they aren't positive or that they share the character's naughty attributes. Maybe you love Gollum, because he's a survivor? Make sure you clarify that's why you're comparing a person to Gollum, as opposed to leaving us to imply that you think the other person has a tendancy to bite off hobbit-fingers.)

It will differ a little bit in that you can compare any member, not just the person who posted before you, to anyone, in your post, just as long as you also post something about the person before you. (For example, I think a member reminds me exactly of Mary Poppins, but they haven't posted in this thread. As long as I say who the person who posted above me reminds me of, I'm free to celebrate the Mary Poppins-member, too!) That way, no one gets neglected!

As No*s did, I'll have to pick someone at random, so I'm picking Bastet! This is quite a simple one, as I'm only comparing her to Bastet, the goddess. Originally, Bastet had both the attributes of a cat and a lioness (the latter aspect would eventually become attributed to Sekhmet, whose name I can never correctly spell). I think Bastet has the lively wit, wittiness, and the incredible personality of such a cat, but I also celebrate that she has the knowledge and the courage to embrace her other aspects, when confronting ignorance or hatred. Yay for someone who fits their user name so perfectly!

Well, Like I said in the random perosnal information thread. I'm like Toad (spit accuracy, martial arts ability, jumping skills), Beast (acrobatic skills), Wildchild (heal extremely easily, and better than normal senses.)

Hmm, I need to pick on someone else...Saw11 was the last one to post in my thread (which I'm avoiding posting to again just yet...but I will to bump it up :)). I'd compare him to Adam Warlock. He's a secular humanist, and Warlock was pretty close to that (though not quite), and it seems his primary goal here is to learn truth and find his place in the world, again like classic Warlock. Further, he seems to like to have a good time, and Adam spent a fair amount of time drinking with Pip ;).

Hehee, I'm afraid I didn't make it very obvious that all you have to do is figure it out about the person who posted above you. (Plus whoever else you choose.) Sorry about that!

Speaking of which, Michel reminds me of the Fool from the tarot. (I think that was his icon for awhile, too, wasn't it?) He started out his journey here at RF with wide eyes, completely blameless and in search of knowledge. Like the fictional Fool, whose 'journey' many see as comprising the main characters within the tarot, he continues to be such things, but he has gained great honor and respect among his peers, as well as realizing that they truest wisdom is within himself. (Or at least that's the way I see it. Hopefully, my babblings haven't made it seem like it isn't the high compliment I think it is .)

Oh, now I thought Feathers was like Storm (Mutant X). She's gentle, compassionate and caring most of the time, but when someone goes too far she's quite capable of standing up to them.

Melody is like Unico... innocent and desiring that all people play fair! She also has a bit of "mythology" in her as evidenced by her avatar! :D

Bumping it up :D.

NetDoc reminds me, in many ways, of Hot Rod on the old Transformers. He's always quick to jump in, and he jumps in with his whole heart, and I can certainly see a Rodimus in there ;).

Ooops, we almost forgot J4L back there! (It's easy to do when people are continually posting!) She reminds me of Tifa, from the video game "Final Fantasy XII". She has the courage of her own convictions, and devotes time to understanding others. (Hopefully, she dresses more warmly, though!)

NetDoc, I thought I was the only living creature that remembered Unico! I'm so happy that this isn't the case. *still cries at some of the scenes*

To go with a completely trite choice (sorry, but it's so obvious, I gots to!) No*s reminds me of Hank McCoy from "The X Men". Not only did he grow up on a farm (err... I hope I'm remembering that correctly), he posesses an incredible vocabulary, boundless energy and a warm, friendly prescence that makes one feel completely at ease.

I'll get Feathers and J4L in one sweep :p.

Now, on J4L, she reminds me of Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk). She has her causes, and her views, and when she takes one on, she does it tenaciously and with a substantial amount of passion and tireless energy, just like Ms. Walters :). She also works and has devotion for her friends. Walters isn't married, so I can't do a comparison there lol.

Feathers reminds me of Gwen Stacy. She's not quite the run of the mill person (I don't meet many ladies that read comics or watch Star Trek), but she's generally trying to make people feel better and be compassionate. Now...I hope there's no Norman around.

Bumping it up :).

Jewscout reminds me of Peter Parker in his college days. He has wit, and generally bounces all around things...but when he wants, he can pack a punch (or some webshooters). He also likes to party, which was about the bulk of Spidey's non-webslinging time :D.

No*s reminds me of the professor from Gilligan's Island - No matter what you throw at him, he can make something brilliant out of it.

Master Vigil reminds me of David Carradine's Showlin (sp?) monk character in the old Kung Fu tv show.

Calm, thoughtful, always moving forward but without running roughshod over others.
