What have Dentists said that's true?

They tell you, "Just hold still. This won't hurt a bit."

They tell you, "Brush with this name-brand toothpaste and you'll never have cavities."

They tell you, "If you don't floss every day, your teeth will rot and fall out."

They tell you, "You really need to have this dental surgery that will greatly improve your quality of life." So you forego buying that new car and then they tell you, "Now, you need to buy some improvements on that dental work we did." So you forego buying the car again, and by this time the price of dental surgery and cars have gone up.

I have a very good dentist who is very affordable and doesn't pressure me into doing anything unnecessary... He's told me lots of things that were true.

Now the question you have to ask yourselves is, does my dentist exist?

So true. We spent 6000 dollars (out of pocket) in 2007 on the dentist just for my wife. They said she needed a crown replaced. They did the procedure, but her teeth hurt afterwards and continued to hurt months later. She went back and told them to fix it, but they said she needed a root canal and it would cost more. They did the root canal, but I guess didn't do a good job so the pain continued. Then she went back to have them correct it, but said they would have to charge more money to correct the issue. We finally said forget it and went to a different dentist who did a much better job on the crown and root canal for a better price. I think the first guy was just after more and more money instead of correcting the actual problem.

Nine out of ten dentists say, "Angellous is my Daddy."
