what if eventually there is an AI candidate

Just an idea that popped into my head.. people are always commenting on the personality problems of human candidates, or have problems with their contradicting views etc. You know, they are just human like the rest of us, and they can be unlikable on that level. They can be unsmart.. have histories they aren't perfect and all that

In the role of governing, I think maybe people want less drama. (maybe I'm wrong, I don't know) And without that, it might free up space for efficiency, compromise, and working toward goals. All of that might be calculated, and then individual citizens might be given daily prompts on how to work toward social goals, minus the drama, and the 'flaw' in being told how to do that by other people

Or in counter-argument, it might be argued that this should never happen, because there is something in human leaders, of almost any kind, that is integral in the ability to lead. Flaws and all. Because maybe a computer can never simulate the nuance of a human, and maybe the nuance is something that people want.

I don't know, whatever

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

I'm sure we're headed , if not already, to a generation where a politician may be at the helm , but his or her reliance and dependency on AI will be unparalled and unquestioned.

You are wrong. People like drama, that's why they elect actors, comedians and reality show hosts.
Also, there's a chance that an AI would make decisions based on facts. People don't like facts if they collide with their doctrine.
