O.K., but why is it a secret?gnosis_777 said:secretly... sexual prefrences don't matter as much to god as getting the message...
no one likes to be ridiculed or told they cant practice a certian religion... its more because i wouldnt want to be a martyrFallen Goddess said:O.K., but why is it a secret?
Well said. I do believe that the Word of God is sufficient as well to guide you but I'm right there with you. My religion does NOT define me. I'm a Pentecostal but my faith is anchored by my trust in Jesus Christ...not by my denomination...opensoul7 said:Yes , because the religion does not define me.God speaks directly to your heart and soul, and no book or person can tell you better than that. You might not stop to listen or hear or see or feel ,but God is always talking to you and guiding you.
:clapopensoul7 said:There is light in what Maize says! I do not believe in discrimination , but I also feel that if you choose to follow a religion the inherent nature of religion is to be flawed.Religion evolves as people and societies evovle .Religion is inherently flawed because God is the great mystery , and how do you define the undefinable? you can try and God grants us insights and enlightenment. But to know all God is and can do , only God will ever know.If the foundation of your religion meets with your core spiritual beliefs then you stay and you try to influence and enlighten the flock to living a better way .Show them the light.Granted a daunting task at best , but the religin does not define you , your relationship with God defines you.
If I thought that the religion was true, I would follow what the religion dictated.Fallen Goddess said:If your religion prohibited hetrosexuality, would you still follow it?
I second that.Maize said:Even though I am not heterosexual, I could not follow a religion that discriminated against others based on their sexual orientation.
Exactly my thoughts.Maize said:Even though I am not heterosexual, I could not follow a religion that discriminated against others based on their sexual orientation.
