I am particularly fond of the Renaissance period but like art from cro magnon cave paintings, Ronan frescos, right up to Banksy.

My favourite piece...

When speaking about art, what is it you yourself would call art?

I can perceive virtually anything as art even when it's not meant to be art.
However, if we're talking about visual art, I'd say my favourites are landscapes, surreal art, and horror.
A combination of the three is awesome too.

I think my tastes in art must be lowbrow. I never could see anything wrong with "Dogs Playing Poker" or velvet oil paintings of Elvis, but I'm told that these are examples of "lowbrow" art. When people talk about what is great, sophisticated, highbrow, as opposed to the stuff that's not so great, I can't always tell the difference. I guess I'm just not in with the in crowd as much to be able to figure these things out.
