Aren't bunkbeds, beds of a certain type?

I looking forward to living long enough for someone to invent a bed that is just me floating in the air while I sleep.

Personally, I would prefer sleeping on an easy chair with my torso and head slightly elevated and my legs stretched out. I sleep better that way.

Interesting. A mat made of what material?

I sleep best in whatever position takes stress off my lower back and hips.
I've bought some sleeping mats at the Asian grocer. I'm not sure what's in them... foam, maybe?

The foam people put as an extra layer for a mattress works, too.

It helps my hips and lower back so much... It takes a day or two to get used to, but it really helps pain management.

About the only time I use mats is in camping. While sufficient, I'm not sure that I could switch to it consistently. I suppose it would depend on composition of the mats. Of course, in camping, I have a sleeping bag as well. Either in it or on it.

I have never seen one made of silk. Mine is hand woven cotton by natives of South America. I use it only for day napping in my man cave. It is quite colorful and comfortable.
I will have to try one. I like the colors used and work of many of the cultures of South America, sounds like that would be good looking as well as functional.

Aren't bunkbeds beds? It's like asking which is better; a car or a Buick.

Anyway, when I was a kid, I thought bunk beds were the best thing since sliced bread. I loved sleeping on the top bunk.

Nowadays, the thought of a bunk bed isn't all that appealing, probably because the majority of adults that sleep on them are in prison.

Beds, always has been, always will be.

I have slept in a bunk bed, on holiday one time as as child. I kept throwing by arms around and hitting the wall or the bed rails. Far to restrictive for my vigorous style of sleep.
