What is energy work?

Energy work is Egyptian Heka (High Vibrational Magick) it is using forced resonance to create changes within the physical and subtle self.

It is sorting out the Chakra alignment within people. ;)

When I think energy, Im thinking of heat. I went to a reiki session and the reiki practitioner says when we recieve reiki we will have a heated sensation over our body. Logically, Im thinking that makes sense. The closer two bodies (or in this case hands) come together, heat increases.

Is this the same thing used in (edit: in energy) magic?
How does vibrations tie into this? (@EtuMalku )

The same way it ties into everything else . . . vibrations IS everything. Energy is vibration / frequency.

Everything around us is made from consciousness, vibrating at different speeds; energy is the vibration of those waves.

So the heat you feel is the increased vibration.

When the body is in a state of OM, it is balanced within its energy; yet as things go out of tune, the vibration is misaligned.

Someone who is a master, can see the Chi surrounding every living thing, and see its balance. :innocent:

Em. I watched a video on vibrations. Im thinking of energy like what creates heat and the temperature (better than the word vibrations) tells how hot something is. When you put your hand over a pot just heating up, the temperature is low so there isnt much energy/heat. When it bubbles then you feel the heat/energy.

It depends on the temperature. If are nerves and senses are working, we know how hot something is compared to another.

Is vibration another word for affects of heat through flucuating temperature?

And, unlike a heated pot, if Im holding a wond and trying to focus energy through the wond for ritual, how does the energy build up?

Maybe the person exercises first? That brings up energy. Heart beats faster. So forth.

Heat is the result of vibration, not the other way around

Imagine lots of small particles within something hot, these are moving about very rapidly, thus holding the heat, as it cools these particles slow down. ;-)

Heat is the result of energy. Id aasume vibration is the result of the temperative of the heat. Higher "vibrations" result from increase heat/energy.

Vibrations isnt clicking in my ear for something this simple concept.

Wizanda posted a picture of what Im trying to describe in words. More heat, more vibration. Since this thread focuses on magic, how do you translate this as energy work?

How does one direct energy through say a wond if there is no high energy (hence cold) standing still?

What builds energy to peform energy work?

What builds energy to peform energy work?
Chi, an equal balance of yin and yang energy, fused into light (high vibration).

There is also Chinese medicine, which could be called energy work; as to me it is magic, knowing which plants affect someone's balance of energies.

Energy work is normally deemed about bringing balance within a person; yet it is possible to do energy work on thousands of people, a reason people love festivals.

The magic is like the science, as it is all one thing....

Our understanding of science in the past, was magic to the religious; so they killed them.

Now we're realizing it all fits together at a quantum level, that the very building blocks of the reality, is the magic we knew thousands of years ago. :)

Every elementary particle in the objective universe has its associated antimatter partner. When the two come into contact, they completely annihilate each other in a burst of energy, since all their properties cancel out a part from their mass, which is converted into pure energy. E=MC2

This process can also happen in reverse, whereby pure energy is converted into matter; a photon which is after all a lump of light energy, can transform itself into an electron and a positron in a process known as 'Pair Creation'. Most interestingly, these 'pairs' are continuously popping in and out of existence everywhere by borrowing the energy required for their creation from surroundings in accordance with the energy/time uncertainty relation, and living for a very short time before annihilating again and repaying the borrowed energy, as though they had never existed.

"The quantum states of photons within our brains are shielded from random influence which might otherwise occur as the entangled external particles are subjected to forces in their locality. The individual drive of the self to be separate from that which is not the self transcends the division between consciousness and sub-conscious thought processes. It acts to reinforce this local coherence even as it insinuates the heretical notion that “mere” human beings are capable of altering external reality by will alone."
" . . . consciousness is envisioned as a coherent local field which maintains one-way control over entangled photons , simultaneously providing a conduit for exerting will and preventing the manipulation of internal quantum states by external forces acting on entangled constituent photons."

At it's most basic, energy work is (to my mind) a combination of various visualisation and meditative techniques, coupled with an empathy that extends beyond living creatures to places, times, objects and concepts.

It can be used to improve one's clarity of mind, alertness and vigour by visualising the transference of an otherwise unseen force from one's surroundings. It can be used in the opposite manner, to "charge" a person or object with one's own energy. It can be used to "feel" a place and experience it in a way that most wouldn't think to.

It's also an absolute pain in the backside to adequately put into words.

Would energy be the same as sensations, feelings, gut feelings in the context you are using it? Balancing energies. Finding the right plant?

How can you charge a person or object using the mind?

I mean, you can make yourself be at peace and aware, but objects?
